Louis Marchesani


Louis Marchesani began his professional IT career after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School in the mid-1980s. Upon joining Thomas Jefferson University Hospital’s programming staff, he performed automated statistical analysis for students, faculty, and research doctors. In 1984, Louis joined the systems programming group at Philadelphia Electric Company (PECO). By 1988, Louis was writing Help Desk software and eventually went on to lead PECO’s Help Desk. After leaving PECO in 1994, Mr. Marchesani became an independent consultant; where he assisted the City of Philadelphia establish their first Help Desk. In 1995, Louis joined CAI (Computer Aid, Inc.) to manage several of CAI’s outsourced Help Desks. Since 2000, Louis has been involved in CAI’s Help Desk (recently renamed Service Desk) business development, including sales, architecting solutions, transition, and delivery of services. Mr. Marchesani has the unique experience of designing, delivering, and improving several Service Desks at multiple organizations.
