Peter Hill is an independent IT consultant. He is a Director of the Melbourne based company Fenwick Software. He has been in the Information Services industry for more than forty years with broad experience covering a number of industries working in both Australia and New Zealand. He has a passion for seeking ways to improve the performance of IT and delivering benefits to its users.
For 17 years Peter headed up the ISBSG, a not-for-profit organisation with a mission of improving the performance of IT worldwide through the provision of project history data. Peter was also a director of Software Engineering Australia and Resonate Solutions. From 1982 to 1994 Peter was the Executive Director and a major shareholder of Megatec Pty Ltd an Australian Software Company.
Peter has been a speaker at conferences in Australia, Asia, Europe and the USA and is a regular presenter of Webinars. He has had a number of articles published, covering key aspects of the Information Services Industry. He is a member of the China Software Process Improvement Network International Advisory Committee, and a past Chairman, Secretary and Fellow of the Australian Computer Society.
Peter has compiled and edited five books the latest: “Practical Software Project Estimation” was published by McGraw-Hill in 2010.
